FrameGlimpse

A local image processing tool that helps you find the best moments from videos and Live Photos.

Privacy Policy for FrameGlimpse

Effective Date: July 12, 2026

FrameGlimpse is an on-device media utility that helps you find and save moments from videos and Live Photos, and review old screenshots or similar photos.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the App may access, what stays on your device, what may be sent to us only when you choose to send feedback, and how we use that information.

1. Our Privacy Principles

FrameGlimpse is designed with the following privacy principles:

2. Content We May Access

After you grant permission, the App may access photos, videos, Live Photos, and screenshots within the scope you allow.

This access is used to:

If you use iOS Limited Photos access, the App can only access the items you choose to allow.

FrameGlimpse does not upload your photos, videos, Live Photos, screenshots, thumbnails, or media-analysis results to our servers.

3. Media Metadata

To support frame capture, recommendations, cleanup, saving, sorting, display features, and other on-device App functionality, the App may read necessary media metadata on device, such as:

This information is used only for local App functionality and is not uploaded to our servers.

If you choose to preserve available metadata when exporting media, some of this information may be included in the exported result. You control where the exported result is saved or shared.

FrameGlimpse does not use location services to determine or track your current location. However, if an existing photo or video contains location metadata, the App may read and process that information locally as part of its media features.

4. iCloud Media

If a photo, video, or Live Photo is stored only in iCloud, the App will not automatically download your full iCloud library or automatically batch-download all iCloud media.

Only when you explicitly choose to view, analyze, export, save, or process a specific item may the App request the system to download that individual item to your device.

The download is handled by iOS and Apple’s iCloud services. We do not receive the downloaded media, your iCloud credentials, or information about the contents of your iCloud library.

If an operation may use cellular data, the App may show a notice before continuing. You may cancel or stop the operation where the App provides that option.

5. Saving and Deleting

5.1 Saving

When you choose to save a photo, Live Photo, GIF, or other generated result, the App asks the system to write the item you confirmed into your Photos library or another destination you select.

The App saves only the items you choose to save.

If you choose to export an item to the Files app or another app through an iOS system interface, the destination you select may process and store that item under its own privacy policy and terms.

We do not receive a copy of your exported media.

5.2 Deleting

When you use cleanup features to delete old screenshots, duplicate or similar photos, screen recordings, short videos, or other supported media:

You are responsible for reviewing the selected items before confirming deletion.

FrameGlimpse does not control how long Apple retains deleted items in the Recently Deleted album.

6. Feedback and Support

FrameGlimpse provides an optional way to contact us by email.

If you choose to send feedback by email, we may receive:

FrameGlimpse does not create or store diagnostic logs and does not attach diagnostic logs to feedback emails.

The App also does not automatically attach your photos, videos, Live Photos, screenshots, thumbnails, media metadata, or media-analysis results to a feedback email.

Before sending the email, you can review, edit, or cancel it using the system mail interface. You control the information and attachments included in the message.

We use information you send to us only to:

We do not use feedback information for advertising, marketing, cross-app or cross-website tracking, device fingerprinting, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Your email provider and our email provider may process the message under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data We Do Not Collect Automatically

Unless this Privacy Policy is updated in the future, the current version of FrameGlimpse:

If you choose to send feedback by email, we may receive your email address, message content, and any attachments you voluntarily include.

This information is used only for customer support, responding to your message, investigating issues, fixing bugs, improving App functionality, and protecting our legal rights.

8. Third-Party Services

The current version of the App does not rely on third-party servers to process your media content.

Please note that app download, installation, system-generated crash diagnostics, payments, subscriptions, purchase restoration, refunds, ratings, reviews, and related App Store services may be handled by Apple’s App Store, iOS, iCloud, or other Apple services.

Such processing is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policies and is outside our direct control.

Apple may separately collect system-generated crash, performance, or diagnostic information if you have enabled the relevant sharing options in iOS or your Apple Account settings. This system-level processing is controlled by Apple and is separate from FrameGlimpse’s own functionality.

FrameGlimpse itself does not create, store, or upload diagnostic logs and does not operate a developer-controlled crash-reporting service.

If you choose to send feedback by email, your message and any attachments you voluntarily include may be processed by Apple Mail, your selected email provider, and our email provider. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

If you export media to the Files app, another app, or another service, the selected destination may process the exported content under its own privacy policy and terms.

9. Children’s Privacy

FrameGlimpse provides local media-processing features for general users. The App does not require users to create an account or provide a name, email address, phone number, or other identity information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

A child should not send us an email or other personal information without the consent and assistance of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe that a child has sent personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us using the details below. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Data Security

However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should also protect your device, iCloud account, Apple Account, email account, exported files, and system permission settings.

When you choose to send information through email or export content to another app or service, the security and privacy practices of the selected provider also apply.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Media-related processing data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

FrameGlimpse does not create or retain local diagnostic logs.

If you send feedback to us by email, we may retain:

We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Unless a longer retention period is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights, we will delete feedback emails and their attachments no later than 90 days after the issue is resolved or the information is no longer actively needed.

You may contact us to request deletion of feedback information that you previously sent to us. To help us locate the relevant message, we may ask you to provide the email address, approximate sending date, or email subject.

Deleting FrameGlimpse from your device generally removes data stored within the App’s local container, subject to iOS behavior.

Deleting the App does not delete media that you have already saved to your Photos library, the Files app, or another destination.

We may update this Privacy Policy based on product changes, legal requirements, App Store review requirements, or changes to our privacy practices.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to your subsequent use of the App.
