A beautiful and efficient clipboard management tool
Effective date: 2026-05-19
ClipPane is designed as a local clipboard history utility for macOS.
ClipPane does not collect data from you or your device for transmission to the developer or any third party.
ClipPane does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, cloud sync, account login, or remote logging.
To provide clipboard history, ClipPane reads the macOS general pasteboard on your Mac. Depending on your settings, this may include text, images, and file references that you copy.
Clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac. It is not uploaded by ClipPane.
You can delete history items in the app. You can also disable recording of supported content types in Settings.
You can clear clipboard history from within the app. Deleting the app removes app-managed local data according to macOS app storage behavior.
ClipPane includes an application blacklist. Copies made while a blacklisted app is active are not saved to clipboard history.
ClipPane may read local application names, icons, and bundle identifiers to show and manage this blacklist. This information stays on your Mac.
ClipPane may ask for Accessibility permission to support click-to-paste. When enabled, ClipPane can send the standard Command-V shortcut after you select a history item.
If you do not grant Accessibility permission, ClipPane still works in copy-only mode.
If you copy files in Finder, ClipPane may save local file names or file URLs in history so you can copy them again later. For image files, ClipPane may generate a local preview image. These records remain on your Mac.
